Collection of general information when visiting our website
Nature and purpose of the processing:
When you access our website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise submit information, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address and the like.

In the case of storage of data in log files, this is the case after 14 days at the latest. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are anonymised so that it is no longer possible to assign the calling client.

The data you enter will be stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. For this purpose, it is necessary to provide a valid e-mail address and your name. This is used for the assignment of the enquiry and the subsequent response to it. The provision of further data is optional. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact form from spam and misuse. See also the paragraph "Cloudflare Turnstile" further down in the text.

Use of Plausible Analytics
In order to understand the use of our website and to constantly improve the quality of the content, we use the web analysis tool Plausible Analytics ("Plausible"). The use is based on a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Plausible does not set any cookies in your browser and does not store any personal data. In order to enable a general analysis, your IP address and the "user agent" (string of characters with device and version information sent by the browser with each request) are anonymised directly upon access using a one-way hash function and the data anonymised in this way is stored. SSL encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.
Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare as a web host and content delivery network (CDN) to make our website faster and more secure. Cloudflare is a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc, 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare protects and speeds up our website by filtering and optimising the data traffic between you and our website. In the process, it also processes personal data from you, such as your IP address, browser data or cookies. The use of Cloudflare is based on our legitimate interest in the secure use of our internet presence and the defence against harmful attacks from outside (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). We have concluded an data processing agreement (DPA) with Cloudflare in which the EU standard contractual clauses (SCC) are included.

Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Cloudflare Turnstile, a CAPTCHA alternative, on our website to protect our contact form from spam and abuse. The check by Cloudflare Turnstile is only activated when you enter data in the contact form. In the process, some information such as IP address, mouse movements, and time spent on the page is transmitted to Cloudflare and analysed. Cloudflare Turnstile thus recognises whether the input is made by a human or by an automated programme. This is done on the basis of a legitimate interest to protect the website from abuse and spam through automated processes (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). The data is not used for advertising purposes and is deleted after processing. You can find more information in the paragraph "Cloudflare".

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data relating to you which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 4 DSGVO.
If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
